Cannondale’s trademark double-pass smooth-welded technology virtually eliminates the stress risers possible on machine-welded frames and gives the frames a finished, handcrafted aesthetic. We know alloy frame manufacturing better than anyone else. After all, we’ve been at it longer than anyone else. That’s why the Trail SL uses double-butted tubing for an increase in frame strength and stiffness with no weight penalty. The Trail uses the OnePointFive Standard head tube. The oversized design is part of our belief in System Integration, which simultaneously lightens and stiffens the frame. Stiffer frames steer better.
