Felt AR 3.  The next level of road rockets has arrived with Felt's AR3. Everything about the AR, arguably the world's most aerodynamic UCI-legal frame, guarantees you save valuable time on your next ride or road race. Its front- and rear-wheel cutouts, internal cable routing, aero carbon seatpost, and the seamlessly integrated bladed carbon fork drastically increase the chances that you stand on the top step of the podium. Plus, it's spec'd with a fine array of components, such as Felt's aero wheels for slicing through the wind, a full SRAM Red group for flawless shifting and braking and Felt's featherweight handlebars and stem. 

 

Felt may have built the world's fastest, most aerodynamic road bike ever in the AR. After countless hours of computer and wind-tunnel time, it debuted at the 2008 Tour de France and immediately made its mark with a second-place in Stage 3 under Will Frischkorn after an impressive daylong breakaway. Frischkorn's secret was the AR's amazingly slippery and fast profile with wheel cutouts, internal cable routing, aero seatpost and seamlessly integrated bladed carbon fork. Equally important, depending on wind conditions and terrain, it could save you 58 to 75 seconds per hour over a standard, round-tube bike, and plenty of energy, too, which could make the difference between a podium spot and finishing mid-pack. Felt's Modular Monocoque Construction method begins by molding the front triangle, seatstays and chainstays as individual pieces, allowing each component to be manufactured specifically for its individual requirements. The pieces are then fused together with completely integrated joints that offer superior strength, durability and a refined look. Also, different shapes, tube thicknesses and diameters are used throughout to maximize stiffness where needed, minimize overall weight and damp vibrations for an awesome ride.
