The nano-carbon frame, fork and aluminum stem were developed as a unit and feature an integrated design for incredible aerodynamics and steering stiffness. Felt's Modular Monocoque Construction method begins by molding the front triangle, seatstays and chainstays as individual pieces, allowing each component to be manufactured specifically for its individual requirements. The pieces are then fused together with completely integrated joints that offer superior strength, durability and a refined look. Also, different shapes, tube thicknesses and diameters are used throughout to maximize stiffness where needed, minimize overall weight and damp vibrations for an awesome ride.
Felt's Ultra Hybrid Carbon (UHC) with nano technology is an advanced, proprietary blend of ultra-high-modulus carbon fibers that are placed and oriented to maximize stiffness, lightness and compliance. Nano technology is added to the mix for even more strength and stiffness with practically zero increase in weight. It works by mixing carbon nano tubes (CNTs), the strongest and stiffest materials on earth, into the resin (what holds the carbon fibers together) to create a final product that is even better than the original.
